Single Sign-On SSO1 Communication

The communication feature of SSO1 provides very interactive yet professional way for the admin to communicate with the users. It gives Agreement and Announcement, which are the two important tools for establishing a clear communication with end users.

Announcement

With this feature, the admin can readily transmit any important Announcement to the users. The announcement message appears in the pop-up form to the end users. The Announcement tab can be found under the Communication tab on the dashboard. On clicking it, a new window with the heading Announcements opens up. The first input box to Add policy is for Title, next one is for Description, and then there is another one, which is the Enable check-box. After all these, you have to choose the time-frame, for which, you want to make your announcement.

There are three options for this:

  1. Valid always
  2. Valid From- Valid To
  3. Never Ends

After selecting a suitable time-frame, you have to choose the Frequency that decides how often you want to run your announcement

There are three options for this

  1. Only Once: It shows the announcement only once on the saved policy date.
  2. Only For a Day: It displays the announcement on a particular saved date.
  3. Daily: It displays the announcement daily for the entered time frame.
  4. Weekly: This shows the announcement once in a week on a set day for the set timeline.
  5. Monthly: It displays the announcement once in a month on specified day of the week for the specified week number.
  6. Yearly: It shows your announcement on the specified day of the year.

After choosing a suitable frequency according to your requirement, you have to set the Repetition. For this, the admin gets two options to choose from.

  1. On Every Login: It displays the announcement on every login of the user.
  2. Only Once: This shows your announcement for only one of your several logins.

After you set all these fields, you have to add your Message that you want to show in your announcement in the message-box. Finally, you have to choose various organizational units and users to which you want to transmit the announcement. You can also choose all OUs and Users.

Agreement

The second of the two features that come under communication is that of Agreement. This agreement policy is applied on the new as well existing users to accept the terms and conditions shown by the Admin. The agreement pop-up is shown only once to the users, if they accept it and it does not appear for the next Login. Almost all the fields to tune-in this feature are the same as that of Announcement feature described above. There are two input boxes for Title and Description, the Enable check box, then the time-line settings and Message Box to type your agreement message. After this, you have to choose the two buttons that you often see on various terms and agreement pages “I Agree” or “Next” and “Cancel” or “Sign Out”. There is also an option to Hide the Cancel Button. This one is an additional new step. You can even choose some different names for these two buttons. At last, you have to choose various Organizational Units and Users. In this, you have to choose various organizational units and users to which you want to transmit the announcement. You can also choose all OUs and Users.
